I think that one of the important historical events is the WWW. The World-Wide Web began in March 1989 at CERN. (CERN was originally named after its founding body the 'Conseil Europeen pour la Recherche Nucleaire,' and is now called 'European Laboratory for Particle Physics. WWW has great advantages for people from all over the world. It has made the world a small World.

In the year 2020 the Internet will no longer be the way we know it today. Virtual reality is the phase of the Internet at that time. One would no longer need the keyboard, mouse, or even monitor. It will be more like sunglasses that one wears and feel as if he/she is inside the computer.
