Mandatory Accessibility

Overview

In 2048, congress expands the Americans with Disablilities Act to require all commercial websites with a traffic volume greater than 500,000 hits/day to conform to modern accessibliity standards.

This law barely passed congress and was attacked from all sides. Corporate America insisted that the changes would be too costly and would lead to a recession greater than "The Big One of 2002". While the other side felt that the language of the bill was weak and that the traffic minimum excluded too many sites.
